Collections for Sale
Intermountain Art has for sale arguably the best Columbia River and Great Basin collection available anywhere. It consists of approximately 4600 high quality pieces in 100 frames. The collection is the summation of over 40 years of collecting and is the result of selecting the finest points and blades from over 20 old time collections. The entire collection comes with legal disclosure statements and each frame is catalogued as to the exact location of find and the name of the famous collection from which it came. The frames are not for sale on an individual bases. It is only the entire collection. There are also approximately 25 high quality stone pieces included. From time to time images will be available on this website and will be rotated over a period of time. Inquires of interest can be direct to Intermountain Art as listed on our “Contact us” page. Star Frame This frame is an original Ernie Cowles collection frame with 42 points that Mr. Cowles called the best points he ever found. They are from Benton County Washington. This frame has been well published in various collector publications over the past 70 years. Frame size is 13” x 17”.

CR1 A fantastic frame of Columbia River knives from the Celilo Falls area on the Columbia River. Most of the pieces are from the Atlatl Valley site and were found by Lloyd Mcleod prior to the hydro electric dams. Frame size is 12” x 18”.

GB1 A fantastic frame of 21 Great Basin Points. These are some of the finest points you will see for sale. Several of the better pieces have certificates of authenticity including one from Greg Perino. The frame size is 12” x 18”.

GB2 A frame of Great Basin blades including three Cougar Mountain Points (one pictured in Overstreet), one Clovis point, three of the Ernie Cowles blades that are pictured in “Screenings” and one huge blade from Warner Valley Oregon. The pieces in this frame are of the highest quality. Frame size is 12” x 18”.
